POSITION SUMMARY  Own the order life cycle for machine schedules and material planning at the main plant. Meet set requirements in an accurate and timely manner, provide expertise to the production team in all related matters, thereby delivering internal customer satisfaction and ensuring that the company’s goals and objectives are met. WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create and set schedules for critical machines or areas
  • Communicate requirements and general customer needs, making sure to provide timeframes and set customer expectations as appropriate
  • Review technical site survey to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment
  • Manage manufacturing order process and adhere to agreed scheduled performance and processes working with the production team to ensure satisfactory completion of orders
  • Escalate all delays to internal groups as appropriate
  • Establish metrics and enforce standards
  • Act as liaison between production floor and purchasing
  • Monitor and track equipment availability and capacity planning
  • Manage the review of pending and trial order parts to ensure timely release and deliveries
  • Ensure that internal customer requirements are met attend by keeping others informed of all matters effecting production schedules, discharge action in a timely manner, following up as appropriate, and attending team meetings
  • Assist with other functions of the MP&L department as needed or assigned
  • Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
  • Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
 

Education: Associate’s degree preferred

Experience: Two years manufacturing experience preferred

Computer Skills:  Must demonstrate computer literacy; Proficient using Microsoft Office; Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
