Job Overview: As a Finance Intern at DMS, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative tier 1 automotive manufacturing company, where you will gain hands-on experience in the world of finance. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside our finance professionals, contributing to various financial functions, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

• Assist in analyzing financial data to support decision-making.
• Help prepare financial models and projections.
• Participate in cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support the budgeting process by gathering and organizing data.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Contribute to the development of budget reports and presentations.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Support compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards.

Cash Management:

• Assist in monitoring and managing cash flow.
• Participate in cash management activities, including accounts receivable and payable.
• Support treasury functions as needed.

Process Improvement:

• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and cost control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in a career in Finance and Accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Previous internship or coursework related to finance or accounting.
• Familiarity with financial analysis software and tools.
• Basic understanding of financial principles and concepts.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Active involvement in finance or business-related student organizations.
