Facilities Technician

Duran Golf Club has an opening for a full time hourly Facilities Technician who will maintain a clean, aesthetically desirable, and safe club environment which meets the expectations of Duran’s management and guests. This position will play a key role in the creation of “Florida’s Exceptional Golf Experience”.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine minor building maintenance duties including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing and carpentry. Assist in room set-up for events to include tables, chairs, stages, equipment, etc.
• General cleaning of properties to include but not limited to: daily cleaning of restrooms, pressure washing, dusting, vacuuming, windows, and trash removal.
• Keep inventory of tools, spare parts, materials, maintenance/cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor.
• Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas and parking lot.
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders. Recognize and respond effectively to urgent needs.
• Coordinate and supervise repair work done by outside contractors such as HVAC, plumbers and electricians.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• A minimum of one year experience in building maintenance and custodial.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment, ability to safely use power tools and equipment
• Ability to deal with the public courteously and to maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and outside contractors.
• Ability to do minor building maintenance independently and safely.
• Ability to maintain records and files and enforce department rules.
• Computer skills including Word and Excel as well as excellent written and communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
