EisnerAmper is seeking a Data Specialist who will be responsible for collecting and processing data to translate it into an accessible format that the Advisory Operations team can leverage to strategically assess performance metrics, identify opportunities and support growth.  In this role you will help collect, query, and analyze data from various sources using statistical tools, applications, methods and techniques.

 

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

  • Analyze requirements and architect appropriate solutions.
  • Streamline data collection methods to create automated reports.
  • Maintain databases and data systems by addressing errors and monitoring performance.
  • Interpret data analysis results to identify trends and patterns as they related to the service line and for interpretation and business decisions.
  • Prepare reports for service line leadership and internal teams stating trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data. 
  • Provide and present recommendations based on findings.
  • Identify and correct errors and discrepancies in existing codes and systems.
  • Support the evolving needs of the practice by swiftly and creatively extracting relevant insights from complex and diverse datasets.
  • Facilitate reporting solutions that consistently meet quality and performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify their root cause and implements fixes.
  • Develop reporting standards and best practices to ensure data standardization and consistency.
  • Verify the accuracy of data and maintain and support the Data Warehouse.
  • Proactively search for potential errors and discrepancies in existing datasets and software.

 

Other Duties:

  • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance (e.g., procedure optimization). 
  • Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assists colleagues in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service.  Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
  • May be expected to work extended hours during the workweek and/or on weekends as needed. 
  • May be required to travel and work from different company and client locations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems and Decision Sciences, Math, Statistics or a related field is required.
  • Four+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • One+ years of prior experience in data analysis, research, compilation and/or reporting

Preferred/Desired Skills:

 

  • Highly proficient in data processing technology for organizing and tracking data sets and extracting relevant information.
  • SQL proficiency is preferred. Power BI capability is a plus.
  • Capacity to efficiently match data sets with different sources, formats and syntax.
  • Possesses a high degree of professionalism including ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of statistics and analyzing data sets; running queries, report writing, and presenting findings; and record keeping, including security procedures for handling, protecting, and distributing confidential data.
  • Ability to compile, review, and analyze data; to prepare reports; to maintain accuracy and attention to detail; and to communicate effectively.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in business and technical environments.
  • Committed to continual improvement of existing and newly developed systems.
  • Capable of finding creative solutions to meet the information needs of the advisory operations team on an ad hoc basis.
  • Capable of consolidating information from multiple sources.
  • Capable of leveraging data processing technology to export information to Excel for facilitated manipulation.
  • Comfortable being proactive and integrating solutions across diverse software platforms.

 

Other Duties:

  • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, and work processes. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • May assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service and demonstrating team work skills. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
  • Perform other services as assigned.

Other Considerations:

  • May periodically travel and work from different company locations.
  • May be required to work overtime, and/or on weekends as needed.
  • Must arrive at EisnerAmper offices or client locations in a timely manner and be ready to perform job responsibilities.
