This is a full-time position located in the Accounting Department onsite Monday- Friday, and may include some holidays as required, with benefits after successful completion of a sixty (60) day introductory period. Please note this is not a remote position. This is an internal/external recruitment.

 

SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the Payroll Manager assist with the day-to-day payroll operations for Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., including Guest House at Graceland.  Lead processor to ensure processing requirements are maintained.  Utilizes Payroll, Human Resource, and systems knowledge to effectively partner with Finance, Human Resources and Operations to meet the needs of the business.  Assist with tax and reporting functionality, G/L reconciliations, an expert in the payroll processing area including reporting requirements to assist the other miscellaneous payroll research issues as needed.  Provide data as needed for audits including 401K and H2B, as needed.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:                                                                                      

 

  • Process/review/analyze all steps of the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll transactions for two entities.
  • Process out of turn payments as needed.
  • Resolves issues with appropriate employees regarding questions from payroll check computations.
  • Implement/test data/processing changes as needed to support the payroll process.
  • Ensure processing staff is adhering to processing standard for compliance to corporate and legal requirements.
  • Write ad-hoc reports as needed to analyze payroll transactions.
  • Maintains support of payroll data changes.
  • Supports DayForce ON-Demand pay.
  • Maintains files of payroll data changes.
  • Review/analyze/audit payroll data to ensure accuracy minimize exposure by following labor laws, taxing requirements, and departmental procedures.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the payroll process/company procedures and taxation issues.
  • Partners with HRIS/Benefits (HR) and other departments to resolve/improve payroll processing issues.
  • Work with authorized departments supervisor and management staff to resolve associate’s payroll issues.
  • Complete assigned G/L reconciliations on a timely basis.
  • Work with third party vendors to resolve payroll processing issues.
  • Research/summarizes data, and payroll audits to ensure conformity to company policies.
  • Provide additional payroll processing support as needed.
  • Assists with general training and development needs, including special projects, training, documentation of processes and some information analysis.
  • Document new payroll procedures and modify existing as needed.
  • Train payroll processing staff on new procedures/routines
  • Effectively respond to management requests for critical information and analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years accounting/payroll experience required.
  • Ceridian DayForce experience
  • Experience with Restaurant Server/Banquet preferred.
  • Payroll processing experience required.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and Oracle skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills

EDUCATION: BA in Business preferred

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in an environment maintaining the strictest of confidentiality of data; able to work independently; sit for extended periods of time; Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills to employees and other payroll customers; ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
