Receptionist - Spa
JOB SUMMARY:
The Spa Receptionist is responsible for scheduling spa appointments, greeting and escorting the guests to treatment areas, all while providing information concerning Spa services, treatments, and products. The Spa Receptionist also provides support in communicating Spa incentives, guest requests and programs to all departments related to the transaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain office supply and paper orders as it fits into monthly budget.
· Assist in promoting spa/salon/wellness services.
· Responsible for cash handling/keyholder including balance and drop receipts with Accounting.
· Notify Engineering of maintenance and repair needs through in-house software communication.
· Follow ALL company procedures and policies; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protecting company assets.
· Learn and adhere to Spa Standards based on a 5-star Forbes rating.
· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other colleagues and management.
· Ensure proper screening, handling and follow through of telephone calls for Spa Director
· Handle distribution of mail, correspondence, faxes, etc. Handle filing and proper retention of correspondence and reference material for Director.
· Interface with other spa talent to create personalized treatment programming for individual guests
· Act as liaison between Spa, Housekeeping and Engineering. Establish a tracking system to maintain work statuses and ensure completion of work requested.
· Practice safe work habits and follows all safety procedures. Assist in helping with cleanliness throughout the spa.
· Listen and extend assistance to talent and management.
· Perform all responsibilities using experienced judgment and discretion.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in high stress/pressure work environment.
· Professional, flexible and positive attitude.
· Detailed oriented.
· Experience with hospitality preferred, previous customer service experience required.
· Computer familiarity.
· Must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills
· Previous experience in a luxury spa, hospitality or retail experience highly preferred.
· Previous cash handling experience required
· Industry related certifications or education a plus
· Excellent multitasking skills to successfully handle several assignments together
· High school diploma or equivalent
