JOB SUMMARY: 
The Revenue Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue management. Exercising analytical, technical, and innovative powers to develop, recommend, and convey winning sales strategies for maximum revenue and yield penetration for the West region. Uses technical expertise to assist in revenue analytics.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Communicate data and trend findings to Sales, Hotel Operations and Catering. Compile, analyze and interpret data and trends.
•    Recommend and take timely action. Keep a pulse on room inventory and rates to effectively alter course.
•    Negotiate transient, group and catering accounts, ensuring the ideal mix of group, transient and catering contribution for maximum room revenue and optimal flow through.
•    Foster an innovative, collaborative environment and channel your technical expertise to continually rethink existing processes, policies and procedures.
•    Engage fellow departments and stakeholders to effect meaningful change.  
•    Monitoring pricing of competitors, the dynamics of the local market, and demand generators.
•    Analyzing and reviewing monthly and weekly STAR Report results, understanding gains or losses of RevPAR Index.
•    Staying abreast of industry and local market trends in each market.
•    Participate with the marketing and Sales department to fabricate demand during need periods and identify strategic e-blast and other marketing offers
•    Providing support and input to the Sales, Marketing, and General managers to create impactful and profitable business during shoulder and need periods.
•    Assist in the development of all pricing and market mix strategies for each property
•    Providing strategic tactics based on historical data and current trends 
•    Participating in the annual RFP process for negotiated accounts 
•    Assisting in the development and execution of a strategic plan and the annual operating plan for each property 
•    Analyzing market trends and communicate results to the corporate, marketing and hotel sales teams 
•    Managing group cut-off dates and block shortfalls and overages 
•    Training sales and front office teams to understand revenue management principles and the roles they play 
•    Training team on how to maximize the value of available revenue management tools for each location
•    Assist in Communicating overall individual strategies and results to Corporate and on property leaders. 
•    Responsible for on-site reservation team and reporting on call stats monthly.


SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
•    One- Two years of experience in revenue management or training in the hotel or hospitality industry of Revenue Management required
•    Strong organization and analytical skills
•    Experience with Maestro or Opera Cloud and SynXis systems preferred 
•    Experience in managing a team preferred.
•    Advanced skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically with Excel and data manipulation, experience with hospitality systems preferred.
•    Strong leadership skills and clear and concise communication
•    Must have an understanding of tools, spreadsheets and statistical methods for analyzing data.
•    May require limited travel.
•    On-site in Sonoma, CA
