The Human Resources Representative is a full-time position that assists the Director, Human Resources in supporting the HR needs of JF Heritage Food Company, a member of The Fikes Companies, including recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, and performance management. In addition, this position works to ensure that HR policies and procedures align with the goals of the organization and comply with relevant regulations.

This is an hourly position that pays up to $24/hour. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (on-site at the production facility in Belton, TX).

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Sources and screens candidates, conducts interviews, and facilitates hiring process.
  • Coordinates new employee onboarding, including orientation, processing of new hire paperwork, and I9s.

Employee Relations:

  • Acts as first line of support for all inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Investigates and resolves employee relations issues, including conflicts and grievances.

 

Performance Management:

  • Provides guidance to managers on performance management best practices.
  • Identifies opportunities for employee development and career advancement.

Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations.

HR Administration:

  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include terminations, promotions, pay changes, etc.
  • Maintains employee records, via Dayforce, to ensure the integrity of data around employee pay, personal information, job classification, and other key details.
  • Compiles data for various reports using Dayforce.
  • Processes all unemployment claims.

Requirements

2+ years in a similar role (preferably in a production or manufacturing environment), knowledge of employment laws and regulations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills, must have intermediate skills in MS Office Suite and HRIS, outstanding discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
