Accounting Manager

CEFCO Convenience Stores/Casey's General Store/The Fikes Companies is now hiring an Accounting Manager to join their team in Temple, Texas!

The Accounting Manager verifies the integrity and accuracy of financial operations, safeguarding organizational assets and developing efficient business processes to record transactions.

General Responsibilities:

• Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, including preparation of journal entries, account/variance analysis, and coordinator of audits.
• Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Maintains and reviews processes for internal controls.
• Streamlines department functions to ensure optimal productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Assists with setting up financial systems and metrics that will measure and communicate accurate financial status.
• Hires and develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Additional duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, 3+years’ management experience including managing Supervisory staff, thorough knowledge of GAAP, advanced skills in MS Office Suite and accounting ERP systems, strong leadership skills with dedication to driving and achieving results, excellent verbal, and written communication abilities across all levels in an organization, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. CPA preferred.
