Service Manager

Summary

This person will supervise and provide direction to a growing pump repair shop located near Scarborough, ME. Much effort will be spent adding dedicated field service crews working through this shop.

Currently the shop employs 6 repair technicians and 1 office person. All technicians work primarily in the shop and are frequently dispatched to the field for pump removal or repair. The shop is in a growth mode and intends to develop dedicated field service teams and add repair technicians.

The manager will be responsible for the profitability and growth of the field service teams and repair shop as well as ensuring safety, quality, and great communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in the repair of rotating equipment is necessary. 
• Supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide repair estimates to the sales team.
• Manage tear down, inspection, and disassembly operations and procedures.
• Generate job scopes and list of parts required for each repair.
• Schedule and manage the repair timeline.
• Schedule and direct shop and field mechanics.
• Direct and coordinate work through FCG pump repair shops to best utilize differences in strengths and weaknesses as well as labor loads.
• Assist in estimating field service and turn key projects.
• Coordinate work of subcontractors when needed.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Utilize shop planner to purchase all materials and assist with any and all items listed above.
