Fogelman offers Growth, Stability & Recognition! Join our team at Stewarts Ferry Apartments to begin your career with us! This 614-unit community is located off Stewarts Ferry Pike in Nashville. The ideal candidate has 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, is HVAC certified (preferred not required), strong with HVAC, plumbing & appliance repair as well as a team player. (On call is only 1day/week & every 5th weekend)*

 

SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible forcompleting maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor whileprovidingexcellent customer service to ourresidents.    

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for completing all service requests as assigned.
  • Responsible for the completion of all make-ready units.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
  • Responsible for supplying all personal tools.
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Assists in preventive maintenance projects.
  • Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
  • Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed.
  • Responsible for positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Be aware of and operate within company safety policies at all times.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
  • HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
  • Proficient in the following areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
  • Proficient in use of computers and online applications.
  • Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
  • Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.

  • Strong constant finger and hand dexterity with ability to grasp/turn, touch, feel, and reach.

  • Work in a variety of conditions, including both indoors and outdoors; frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
