The pay range for this position is $96,200 - $130,100/annually. This position is hybrid, based onsite at our Linden, NJ facility.

FreshRealm is looking for a Information Security Engineer to help develop, implement, and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to detect and mitigate security risks.
  • Monitor security logs, alerts, and promptly respond to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into development and operations.
  • Assist in designing and implementing secure network architecture and infrastructure.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in incident response and forensic investigations during security incidents.
  • Assist in 'vetting' new software solutions and provide guidance and support to other teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and tools to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Develop, execute, maintain and track the performance of security measures for safeguarding information, network infrastructure, and computer systems.
  • Identify, define, and document system security requirements and propose solutions to management.
  • Monitor systems for unusual behavior and implement preventive measures.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and update the company's information security strategy.
  • Educate and train staff in information system security best practices.

Qualifications:

 

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience working in information security roles, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption methods.
  • Securing cloud configurations (0365, Azure, AWS)
  • Proficiency in network security, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and standards, such as GDPR, 
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of cyber security tools, frameworks, incident management, operations, and security best practices 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred).

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.  We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
