Position Overview

As the Senior Product Manager - Supply Chain & Operations, you will drive cross-functional collaboration to develop and deliver products meeting internal customer needs, driving business value, and aligning with company strategy. Serving as the gatekeeper for requests intake, you ensure transparency and alignment with collected business requirements.

Focused on the product life cycle, you'll identify opportunities, supervise launches, and ensure effective project management. Responsibilities include setting strategy, gaining departmental acceptance, and securing final approval.

In addition to planning, you'll participate in product development, research, and vendor management. With support from leadership and teams, you'll develop and communicate roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business requirements and maximizing value. Effective communication is vital across all levels of the organization. You will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Engineering.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic and Tactical Planning

  • Work with senior management to build and implement product strategies consistent with company vision and strategic initiatives for supply chain and fulfillment operations. 

  • Create and maintain a roadmap that supports the business and aligns with company objectives.

  • Present roadmap and project updates to leadership, including C-suite executives, and participate in company-wide planning and prioritization exercises.

  • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision, and continuously identify opportunities and areas to improve with quantifiable justification. 

  • Help set the product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate schedules with a team of engineers to frequently ship high-quality products.

Product Engineering Project Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders in supply chain management, as well as developers to design the best solutions to challenges.

  • Document product requirements and retrieve and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and functionalities.

  • Guarantee the accurate and timely launch of products and releases.

  • Properly coordinate product release activities, and develop plans for phasing out underperforming products or discontinuing products.

  • Implement or aid in the adoption of tools that enhance transparency for project management and actions carried out as a product manager.

Reporting

  • Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users.

  • Prepare recommendations to track product use and impact on end users.

  • Maintain a well-groomed, prioritized backlog, balancing short-term and long-term goals, while advocating for future-proof technical design.

  • Provide documentation, diagrams, and work instructions to enhance the transparency of products currently in use or planned for deployment.

Qualifications

Skills & Requirements:

  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively to develop and implement product strategies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset driving innovation and growth; inspire and guide teams to achieve high performance

  • Analyze and synthesize complex information; convey ideas and information clearly and effectively

  • Experience in quantitative analysis, design, or coding; familiarity with Python, SQL, and other programming languages; deeper proficiency is a plus

  • Understand user/customer needs and translate them into product requirements; communicate collaboratively with technical teams

  • Solve problems effectively

  • Work collaboratively within the company culture

  • Manage product lifecycle from inception to launch

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Trello, and Asana

  • Adapt to changing priorities and adjust approaches to meet evolving timelines and goals

  • Ability to assess and integrate new technologies

  • Deliver clear and compelling updates to senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

 

Education:

  • 5+ years' experience of working on Product Manager or other relevant position

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.  We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
