This pay range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000/annually. This is a remote based position. 

The Software Architect leads the efforts to establish, document, and implement the technical architecture for the in-house software applications and systems that combine to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

 

Software System Design 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand how technology solutions will help deliver desired business outcomes 

  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements 

  • Identify and analyze the merits of different technical solutions 

  • Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation forp roposed solutions 

  • Ensure solutions meeting technical and business goals related to scalability, security, usability, and maintainability 

  1. Technology Integration 

  • Evaluate the desirability of solutions offered by 3rd party vendors 

  • Guide the integration with 3rd party solutions and customer systems 

  • Ensure interoperability and seamless data flow between systems 

  1. Technical Leadership 

  • Inspire and lead technical discussions that elevate the team’s awareness around best practicesandindustry standards 

  • Coach and mentor others in the architecture design process 

  1. Communication 

  • Document and communicate architecture and system design to stakeholders 

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner 

  • Work closely with business leaders and customers to align technology strategy with business goals 

  • Prepare and make technical proposals, reports, and presentations 

  1. Innovation and Improvement 

  • Introduce the organization to new technologies or processes that benefit team operations or improve our ability to meet business objectives 

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends 

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within existing systems and processes 

  • Lead initiatives to enhance the overall technical capability of the organization 

  1. Risk Management 

  • Identify potential risks associated with proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies 

  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies 

  • Conduct security assessments and implement necessary safeguards 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Skills and Requirements 

  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and technologies across the stack (e.g., Ruby, Python, React, C#, databases, messaging services, cloud platforms, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify the needs of different audiences and adapt complex technical communication to meet those needs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify the strengths and drawbacks of a solution and compare their impact to those of other solutions
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and engineers, and work collaboratively to deliver solutions
  • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of web application design principles, along with the strengths and pitfalls of different approaches 

Experience / Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecture or related roles.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex technical solutions

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.  We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
