Van Driver

This position works a split shift of morning and afternoon hours Monday-Friday. No weekends required.
$500 Sign-On Bonus (Restrictions Apply)
 
Summary

Provide transportation to the participants within Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley service areas.  Assistance, as directed, within the program areas and route development is a major function of this position. Maintain the policies and procedures of GESMV.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 
  1. Transport participants in agency vehicle to and from program services and job sites, as scheduled, providing door-to-door assistance.
  2. Must be sensitive and supportive to the needs of aging adults.
  3. Review and follow all individual service plans as written for individuals transported.
  4. Accurately record daily mileage, drop off and pick up times and participants’ attendance.
  5. Must maintain efficient routes and schedules for pick up and drop offs.
  6. Conduct and document daily and monthly safety vehicle inspections and report needed repairs to Immediate Supervisor.
  7. Complete all required annual and monthly trainings as assigned.
  8. Must be available to travel to assist other agency programs.
  9. All other duties as assigned by Program Coordinator and/or Immediate Supervisor.
 
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
 
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. At least 1 year experience transporting the target population.
  3. Must be able to pass drug screen, background check, and must not have more than 4 points on license.
  4. Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, general business instructions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  5. Ability to write business correspondence and routing reports.
  6. Ability to utilize technology.
 
Qualifications
 
Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. 
 
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
