STATUS: EXEMPT
REPORT TO: SRMGR – HR PRGRAMS AND ENGAGEMENT
DEPARTMENT: HR – PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

PAY RANGE: $67,400.00 - $80,000.00 ANNUALLY

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The HR Programs & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing support to strategic Human Resource programs. The coordinator contributes to the HR project portfolio to ensure effective coordination across HR and in some cases the enterprise. The HR Programs & Engagement coordinator will be responsible for working with and collaborating cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards & HR Operations, Leadership Enterprise Development, Enterprise Communications, Employee Relations, and DEI&B. Key areas of focus include HR program administration, organization, and execution.  

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

  1. Lead and support planning and coordination of HR and organization-wide initiatives.
  2. Coordinates in partnership with HR Leadership, employee engagement activities within HQ and the organization, for example, Employee Appreciation Day, department meetings, and on-site employee events.
  3. Assist with the portfolio of HR programs and executes strategy from program launch to coordinating timelines and resources to driving deliverables with various stakeholders. Recommends process improvement to leadership as required.
  4. Work to keep programs on schedule, and deliverables within stated budgets and functioning smoothly. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, as required.
  5. Assists HR leadership in the development and maintenance of the HR strategic roadmap; develops and maintains a program tracker to keep leadership on task with strategic programs related to all aspects of HR.
  6. Create and maintain program records.
  7. Offer ideas to streamline our processes and improve upon existing programs. Continuously seeks feedback from the team to improve quality of service delivery.
  8. Detail oriented and proactive, with an eye towards continuous improvement.
  9. Facilitates and assists in proper articulation and communication of accurate project progress, prioritization, and delivery timelines.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:

  1. Effective oral and written communication skills required to talk to HR staff members, to all other levels of employees in the Credit Union, outside contacts on the telephone and in person. 
  1. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal, personal computer, and other standard office equipment, including photocopier, and telephone.

  1. INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
  2. EXTERNAL: Will partner with external vendors and maintain positive relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. EDUCATION: Successful completion of High School curriculum is required. Degree or similar work experience.
  2. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years’ experience in Administration, Program Coordination, or performance in similar functions or related work environment.
  3. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 
    • Excellent written, verbal communication and public speaking skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, planning, project, or administration skills.
    • Ability to navigate excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Microsoft office.
    • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing a diverse group of stakeholders.
    • Comfort interacting with senior leadership roles.
    • An extreme enterprise and growth mindset, driven by intense curiosity.
    • High level of discretion, judgment, and diplomacy.
    • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information.
    • Experience assisting with complex projects and operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
  2. Corrected vision within the normal range.
  3. Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
  4. Occasional movements daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
