PAY RANGE: $97,600.00 - $107,000.00 Annually

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Golden 1 Credit Union is a top tier employer in California’s financial industry.  Serving our membership in the most effective way possible requires accurate and timely financial services.  The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for planning, testing and validating enterprise data and APIs serving Golden 1.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

  1. Leads and provides guidance on the creation of QA process flow and strategies that follow industry best practice for all elements of the QA process including traceability and data analysis across all enterprise-wide software solutions.
  2. Acts as onshore QA lead providing guidance for offshore tasks, including scheduling, test case and content preparation, QA script evaluation, and liaison for all clarifications and bug resolutions with onshore team members.
  3. Work closely with business partners to utilize business requirements to define and document use case scenarios and test scripts.
  4. Actively participates in scrum ceremonies and coordinates closely with project leads for scheduling and planning
  5. Prepare and execute functional and non-functional testing activites such as integration testing, regression testing, smoke testing, system testing, API testing, UI testing, performance/load testing, and security testing to ensure solution/design meet business requirements.
  6. Proactively identifies and recommends process and training opportunities through data business intelligence and data analytics to develop and implement process changes that meet or exceed program quality standards.
  7. Develops control processes and scorecards to monitor data and reporting issues to produce QA test result reports, in an effort to drive and coordinate issue resolution with responsible parties.
  8. Tracks software bugs, enhancements, and prioritization.
  9. Ensure solutions within the environment follow established guidelines, policies and technical frameworks.
  10. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
  11. Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

Recommended Skillsets:

  1. Acts as a liaison and collaborates with business clients, technology personnel, and supports providers to track and implement business requirements, drive efficient and effective discussions regarding QA best practices and implement strategies throughout the life cycle of projects or process improvements.
  2. Keeps current with technology trends, solutions and vendors.
  3. Has a thorough understanding of API testing, performance testing, and test automation frameworks.
  4. Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, TestRail, Postman, Katalon/Selenium, and Power BI

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:

  1. Effective oral and written communication skills required to interpret, resolve, document and report testing issues.
  2. Occasional local, statewide and inter-state travel may be required.
  3. Periodically work extended and weekend hours.
  4. Ability to work under pressure.
  5. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as PC, copy and fax machines and telephones.
  6.  Must be present in office one day per week

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. INTERNAL:  All Credit Union Staff
  2. EXTERNAL:  Vendors

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  2. EXPERIENCE:  Combined minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in quality assurance.  High expertise in API testing and test automation are a must, preferably using Postman and Katalon (or similar). Exposure to a diverse enterprise application landscape with a solid understand of how data flows through a business is helpful to this position. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people is a must.
  3. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

TECHNICAL

  •  Should be proficient at analyzing data with SQL, TSQL PSQL or Excel while accessing diverse application architectures and data models.
  • Ability to access and analyze data in complex data models with little supervision or input is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills in varied IT technologies. Proficient in software/hardware enterprise technologies, systems integrations and software/hardware release to production methodologies, etc.
  • Excellent complex problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new and existing technologies. 
  • Must be proficient in API testing and both manual/automated testing activities.

NON-TECHNICAL:

  • Project and program management skills and experience a must.
  • Ability to host efficient and business requirements sessions and drive towards agreed upon scope and outcomes essential. 
  • Candidate must have experience working with Sr. business leaders.
  • Proven experience in executing system and integration testing.
  • Proficient in requirements definition, evaluation and documentation.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical parties.
  • Ability to work with technical and business oriented teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Prolonged sitting throughout the day.
  2. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate applicable computer hardware, software and a variety of hand tools and standard office equipment.
  3. Corrected vision in the normal range.
  4. Corrected hearing in the normal range. A telephone device will be provided if needed.
  5. Occasional bending, stooping, and standing on a stepladder.
  6. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  1. A valid California Driver’s License is required
  2. Advanced technical and/or project management certifications is a plus
