Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk 

 

Salary Range: $48,000-55,000

 

About the Position

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate daily processing of payables and general accounting functions.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

  • Process invoices accurately, including PO & invoice matching, reviewing for applicable sales and use tax, proper coding, proof of delivery, and authorization.
  • Process check runs.
  • Accurate vendor setup using signed W-9 form
  • Tax reporting, including but not limited to 1099 and use tax.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of Goodwill financial affairs.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Research and resolve problems and answer questions from staff or vendors.
  • Maintain electronic and paper vendor files.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree with emphasis in accounting.

 

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: N/A

 

Computer/Technology Skills:

  • Proficiency level of intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • D365 ERP or similar accounting software
  • Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
  • 10-key by touch.

 

Physical Abilities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required sit for long periods of time, communicate with other employees by talking and hearing, required to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds and to operate computer systems. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
