We're seeking a Foundry Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our plant engineering teams, ensuring the highest standards of performance and innovation. You’ll be the guiding force behind implementing best practices, while also embracing core engineering responsibilities that support our innovative manufacturing operations.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Plant Engineering Operations: Drive plant engineering efforts to maximize equipment uptime and enhance production efficiency.
  • Oversee Facility Planning: Manage the planning and execution of modifications or new installations, handling all aspects from requirements to costs and timelines.
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as the key liaison between plant engineering, other departments, contractors, corporate engineering, and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate Contractors: Supervise and ensure that outside contractors adhere to safety standards, company policies, and project specifications.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold and enforce all relevant federal, state, local, and company regulations.
  • Manage Performance: Evaluate and mentor engineers to boost performance and maintain high efficiency.
  • Administer Budgets: Prepare and control budgets for engineering projects, ensuring financial management throughout the year.
  • Promote Employee Engagement: Maintain open lines of communication with employees and resolve issues to improve morale.
  • Enforce Safety Standards: Oversee the use of safety equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Coach for Safety: Guide supervisors in reinforcing safe work practices.
  • Drive Innovation: Stay updated on operational improvements and implement new methods to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

What We Need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of related experience in a Heavy Iron Foundry environment is required.
  • Excel in clear and effective communication, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate seamlessly with team members.
  • Well-organized and proactive approach to the role, showing initiative and independence in managing tasks and projects.
  • Inspire and guide colleagues, providing mentorship and leading by example to foster a supportive and productive team environment.
  • Strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and engineering-related software, demonstrating your ability to handle complex data and presentations.
