The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000.
We're seeking a Controls Engineer to take the lead in designing and implementing engineering projects that enhance our equipment and facilities. From optimizing cycle rates and boosting reliability to tackling challenges using your expertise, every day brings new opportunities to make a real impact. Plus, you'll dive into hands-on problem solving using schematics and PLCs, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. What You'll Do:
- Modify and optimize existing systems, define, and design interfaces
- Write and prepare technical documentation
- Program and analyze Siemens S7, TIA Portal, Allen Bradley (Rockwell), as well as ABB robot technique. Program and troubleshoot VFD’s
- Work with SCADA systems in both machining and foundry plants
- Maintain plant's fiber optic loop and network racks for the control networks
- Program visualizations and integrate optical systems for monitoring existing processes
- Carry out system diagnosis, modifications, unerring error analysis, and corrections
- Inform, instruct, train, and advise employees with regard to efficiency and optimum utilization of the systems during operation
- Adjust existing hardware systems according to technical specifications or production request meeting requirements and production aspects
- Inspect and amend specification sheets
- Select possible suppliers for reconstructions and facility optimizations, gather and inspect quotations
- Prepare descriptions, estimate and calculate costs
- Inspect interfaces, pursue performances and due dates.
- Determine project status and monitor process of project, decide remedies in case of deviations or disturbances
- Assure 100% compliance with safety regulations within the department in addition to economic targets and technical specifications
What We Need From You:
- Associates Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science required
- 4-7 years of experience working with PLCs and using PLC systems to troubleshoot equipment
- Experience with S.C.A.D.A. systems is preferred
- Familiarity with configuration, programming, and implementation of motion controllers
- Ability to use or willingness to be trained using forklifts, cranes, electric pallet jacks, etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to transfer knowledge and train other team members
- Experience using software such as MS Office, etc.
- Moderate physical effort. Able to lift up to 50 pounds if needed.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
