We are adding a Foundry Engineering Manager to our Team. The Foundry Engineering Manager will supervise Foundry Engineering.
What You'll Do:
- Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times.
- Extend treatment to all other associates of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.
- Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
- Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.
- Consult and advise Foundry Engineering Departments on issues concerning foundry processes.
- Provide interpretation of specifications.
- Provide technical assistance to foundry operations to resolve in-house and customer problems.
- Participate with and advise various teams and committees such as, new job start up, Continuous improvement, cost estimates, etc. on technical matters.
- Ensure a competent staff is maintained to meet both short and long-term objectives.
- Provide for staff development and growth.
- Prepare the department budget and administer and control the approved budget during the business year.
- Monitor process variables and advise improvements.
- Evaluate techniques and processes through pilot runs and prepare cost/benefit and value analysis.
- Make recommendations concerning their potential use.
- Assist in solving customer problems.
- Spearhead detailed efforts on advanced engineering planning on new and existing parts.
What We Need From You:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent.
Seven to ten years’ experience.
Functions geared toward achieving goals at dept. managerial level.
Superintend and coordinate manufacturing operations.
Manage important staff functions.
Formulate and apply complex methods, programs and controls.
Controversial/highly technical internal contacts. Frequent external contacts.
Work with and access confidential data. Access to articles of moderate cost.
General office working conditions, infrequent shop exposure or travel 10-30% of the time.
Occasional exposure to accidents or health hazards.
