Finishing Room Supervisor - 3rd Shift

This is a third shift position.
The Finishing Supervisor will supervise the overall cleaning room operations by setting goals, organizing, and assigning work, training employees, and maintaining a productive work environment to meet established production schedules. Ensure all safety, quality, and productivity processes and procedures are followed within areas of responsibility.
What You'll Do:
- Direct, plan, and coordinate cleaning room operations over all shifts to maintain production schedules and quality and cost standards and to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure quality of work, efficient material and workflow, proper use and care of equipment and machines, and proper application of production methods.
- Select and train supervisors and/or nonexempt employees in cleaning operations to ensure a sufficient work force to meet short and long-term objectives. Evaluate work performance and counsel and coach employees to maintain efficient work performance.
- Maintain adequate supply of raw materials, production supplies, and tools to support continuous operations for the department. Maintain related inventory records, as required. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in proper working order.
- Analyze equipment or machine problems, quality problems, and production delays, expediting repairs and/or corrective actions to minimize downtime and work schedule interruption. Coordinate equipment repair with maintenance department, as required.
- Prepare budget for all cleaning room operations and administer and control budget during the business year.
- Maintain open communications with employees and work with employees to mutually resolve problems to enhance morale and promote a union-free environment.
- Maintain conformance with Company policies, work rules, and regulations, coaching employees and/or initiating disciplinary actions, as required.
- Enforce the proper use of safety equipment and maintain departmental housekeeping to produce a safe work environment. Coach employees to reinforce safe work practices.
- Maintain awareness of improved operational methods, production processes, or equipment which improve quality and efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain communications across all shifts in the cleaning room and with other departments to promote efficient operations.
- Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
- Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.
- Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.

- Able to work overtime as assigned.
What We Need From You:
- Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.
- High School Diploma and additional courses, or equivalent. Three to five years of experience preferred.
- Supervise diversified work, operations and procedures and make decisions within applied technology.
- Requires great attention to detail and accuracy to avoid errors that would cause delay or dissatisfaction.
- Moderate physical exertion. Able to lift up to 40 pounds. Physical movement includes some repetitive motion, with twisting and bending.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE. (Safety goggles, hearing protections, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, and gloves as needed when on the shop floor.)
