Quality Technician

What You'll Do:
- Count and analyze scrap castings to identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective action.
- Inspect and categorize returned castings to determine reasons for return.
- Coordinate with production teams to address customer complaints and resolve quality issues.
- Perform UT testing on turbo housings to measure wall thickness and ensure compliance with specifications. Interpret and document UT results.
- Select representative samples of castings for quality testing.
- Prepare, label, and submit samples to outside services.
- Inspect samples and report findings.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and quality systems to ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
What We Need From You:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a foundry.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments and quality control software.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and move heavy objects.
- Tolerance for hot and noisy environments.
