The Industrial Engineer will Visit, communicate with and audit outside vendor services to ensure compliance to Company and customer specifications.  Evaluate and submit quotes for outside services. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise outside services as they relate to value-added services for castings, including heat treatment, painting, special handling or machining, vendor warehousing and shipping.
• Solicit, evaluate, recommend, and audit outside vendors to ensure the most cost effective and capable vendors.
• Manage the Value-Added portion of the new job start up process.
• Advise all necessary management levels of specific vendor problems.
• Supervise, communicate and counsel appropriate staff personnel concerning company policies, rules and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain tier one strategies for plant operations to attain business plan objectives.
• Develop and maintain systems for outside vendors concerning productivity, quality, delivery, and safety.
• Act as a liaison between plant personnel and customers in all matters pertaining to value added services.

What We Need From You:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, or equivalent.
• Three to five years’ experience in manufacturing/machining and casting environment.
• Apply several available methods and requires analysis and adaptation.
• Work with and access confidential data.
• General office working conditions, infrequent shop exposure or travel 10-30% of the time.
