Summary
Recruits and completes intake for new clients to Goodwill’s Adult Day Services. Collaborates closely with HR recruiters to recruit and hire for all ADS positions, with a particular focus on Community Integration Specialists (CIS). Keeps the Director informed of all intake statuses in real time. Works with Director, Area Managers, and Managers to research and develop staff trainings, including but not limited to onboarding.
Essential Job Functions
Proactively plan staffing and capacity needs at each site, tracking and reporting to the Director monthly.
Interview and hire all Community Integration Specialists, working closely with HR to ensure that full staffing is maintained.
Build and retain relationships with school transition coordinators and Franklin County Service Coordinators to include attending provider fairs and following up with potential prospects.
Conduct the intake process for individuals entering Adult Day Service Programs.
Review documents in the intake packets in conjunction with Director and Managers; ensure all necessary information is included and complete. Determine best fit for staff and individuals entering into our ADS sites.
Develop and facilitate trainings, including annual all-staff training days, for Goodwill staff on relevant topics. Monitor industry trends and update staff training with a focus on training today for the needs of tomorrow.
Ancillary Job Functions |
Identify and develop strategies to fill existing openings in the program. Track entries and exits to determine if goals should be realigned to keep programs operating at capacity.
Facilitate scheduling site tours for prospective participants and families and serve as a secondary tour liaison as needed.
Complete the report regarding total persons served for Directors and the county monthly and submit quarterly.
Participate in outreach activities by attending developmental disability community outreach events such as but not limited to job fairs, and provider fairs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Two to three years of experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Annual Abuse/Neglect, Rights and MUI training and all required training.
Must have current, valid OH driver’s license and personal car insurance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions including good interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions. Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
Moderate to intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Work Environment – Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. |
