GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Career & Training Centers (CTC) and staff, ensuring efficient delivery of services to job seekers and employers.
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, budget management and monitoring in collaboration with directors, supervisors, and program managers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, and community organizations to expand job opportunities and support services.
  • Provide direction and management for strategy, guidelines and procedures concerning best practices, systems, and methodology.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

PEOPLE

 

  1. Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day CTC operations and outcomes. 
  2. Stay updated on industry trends, growth opportunities, and the local labor market landscape to better serve our clients.
  3. Collaborate with local businesses to identify job openings, fostering partnerships to enhance employment opportunities.
  4. Ensure staff are equipped with the necessary resources to effectively carry out their roles and address any performance or personnel issues promptly.
  5. Cultivate relationships with local chambers, business networks, and industry-related committees to expand career opportunities for our clients.
  6. Develop and promote employer services, including recruiting, prescreening, job fairs, computer classes, resume services, and other workforce development services.
  7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine employment strategies and match career-ready participants’ strengths and abilities to job requirements.

 

PERFORMANCE

 

  1. Ensure the quality of services provided through participant and employer surveys, secret shoppers, and other feedback mechanisms.
  2. Compile monthly reports from CTC staff and other team leaders, compiling them into comprehensive reports for distribution to leadership.
  3. Establish and review monthly and annual goals for each CTC location, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  4. Implement mechanisms to assess and improve the quality of services provided to clients based on feedback and performance metrics.
  5. Achieve departmental and organizational goals

 

 

PROCESS

 

  1. Coordinate all necessary events for CTC openings, including staffing, procurement, marketing, and office setup.
  2. Manage functions of data management system, CaseWorthy ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Create and maintain annual budgets for each CTC location, managing financial records including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
  4. Compile all information necessary to complete the Mission Services portion of the GII Annual Statistical Report.
  5. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements regarding financial management and record-keeping.
  6. Maintain confidentiality and security of organizational information and files, as well as Goodwill practices and policies.
  7. To perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree required, with relevant work experience.

 

Work Experience:  Two to five years’ of work-related experience in Human Services and/or Workforce Development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data management.

 

Qualifications:  Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s liability insurance provider. Each associate must maintain a current and valid driver’s license with limited points and/or traffic citations and adequate automobile liability insurance. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check.

 

Physical Requirements:  Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying (up to 25 pounds), pushing, and pulling. May involve walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time. General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, odors, etc.).

Work Hours:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required as needed.
