Facilities Mechanic Lead (FAC)

JOB SUMMARY:
Ensure efficient operation of facilities maintenance department under the direction of Facilities Maintenance Foreman.

JOB DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Assist in budget preparation of physical plant maintenance and repair via record keeping methods and assessment of same.
2. Maintain monitors and evaluate on daily basis recycling programs and waste handling processes for their effectiveness. 
3. Possess knowledge in implementation, coordination and execution of physical plant prevention maintenance programs. The expected results should be: reduced equipment down-time, ensured full life expectancy of equipment, more effective budget preparation based on historic data, 90% planned task oriented manpower utilization and improved service order response.
4. Assist Foreman and Manager with all phases of facility maintenance, repair and monitoring as needed to efficiently operate a 24-hour industrial facility.
5. Accomplish other duties as may be reasonably assigned by Foreman or Facilities Maintenance Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
1. Two years combined technical school completed education, maintenance field or related preferred.
2. Five years experience in facility maintenance.
3. Must be knowledgeable of Federal, State and Local regulations.
4. Read, write and understand the English Language.
5. High school diploma or equivalent.
6. Valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time, walking, climbing ladders and stairs.
2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
3. Subject to continual loud noises.
4. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires use of all safety equipment.
5. Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
6. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive company vehicles
