The Role:

The Payroll Coordinator role will report to the Manager, Payroll, with a dotted line to the Manager, HRIS. You will contribute to processing payroll for our Canadian employees and to the operational effective HRIS applications and modules, including maintaining and implementing configurations, ensuring data integrity and writing reports.

Responsibilities:

Canada Payroll Lead

  • Responsible for running 3 payrolls for 900 employees across Canada, including reviewing and auditing all payroll data to ensure data is accurate for payroll processing
  • Answer questions and administrator pay practices
  • Work with US team and Payroll Manager to gather data and ensure accurate data
  • Facilitate payroll corrections, retro-pay, ROEs and all other changes related to payroll

HR Technology Support

  • Provide day-to-day system support to Human Resources and the organization
  • Level 3 (up to Sev 3) – technical assistance and solutions pertaining to HR technology
  • Prepare end-user documentation, testing, or training materials as needed
  • Support HR and business priorities by staying up to date with Dayforce updates and best practices to ensure the system's optimal performance

HRIS/Dayforce Functionality

  • Serves as technical resource providing HR systems support, including training, system access, and issue troubleshooting and resolution, and system data integrity
  • Provides support for HRIS maintenance, including researching and resolving HRIS errors, testing, etc.
  • Generates and executes custom reports and dashboards within Dayforce
  • System support and analysis of time, pay and benefits configuration, including functionality and design review, end to end user testing, and supporting implementation of HR system upgrades or updates

Qualifications:

  • Must have past experience with Dayforce and Payroll
  • Demonstrated familiarity of HR functions and customer service aptitude
  • High capacity of accuracy and the ability to enter or review data quickly
  • Ability to handle diverse and confidential information requiring extreme accuracy, independent judgement, and discretion. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while working with HR records.
  • Experience building conditional workflows and forms in XML, strongly preferred
  • Third party application support experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including advanced experience in Microsoft Excel including vlookup, formulas, pivot tables
  • Good communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely respond to inquiries
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment with a commitment to the overall success of the organization
  • Strong work ethic and high-level of integrity needed for working with confidential information
  • Demonstrative ability showing strong analytical, problem-solving skills and is cognizant of adequate response times.
