SUMMARY

Individual will be responsible for supporting the overall administrative requirements of the Pre-Construction department.  The department consists of Estimating, Business Development, and Marketing.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Overall duties include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Bid document preparation
  • Issuance of Intent to Bid
  • Contacting subcontractors
  • Processing of pre-qualification applications
  • Proposal preparations
  • Ordering of bid-bonds
  • Maintenance of tracking logs
  • Set-up of estimating and proposal folders
  • Document printing
  • Distribution of amendments and associated documents
  • Marketing material development
  • Attendance at various trade events (local)
  • Attendance at site-visits, pre-bid meetings, and kick-off meetings
  • Meeting preparations and minutes recording
  • Delivering and organizing bids
  • Coordination and scheduling of meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

1+ years related experience in construction industry, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; working knowledge of Viewpoint or ability to quickly learn is a plus.  Strong analytical, planning, problem solving and organizational skills.  Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Ability to build relationships and work effectively with a team.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to use hands to type, handle, or feel and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds when maintaining records.
