Manager - Sports Medicine

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Manager of Sports Medicine provides overall management to the Sports Medicine department, which includes multiple sites at our contracted schools, and oversees the direct management of staff athletic trainers. The Manager will assist in the external promotion of the sports medicine program and will provide event coverage as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

• Graduate of an accredited athletic training education program, required
• Master’s Degree in related setting, preferred
• Fifteen (15) years of experience in related healthcare setting, required
• Current BOCATC certification, required
• Proven Leadership
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Mississippi State Department of Health
• CPR certification, required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and show proof of liability automobile insurance
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Highly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regards to time management
• Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
