POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will serve as the clinical coordinator for the Hospitalist Program and assist the Medical Director with clinical administration of the Program.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- APP shall be a certified registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- APP shall hold a current DEA permit and an unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice nurse or physician in the State of Mississippi
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

- Highly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regards to time management
- Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal, written, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain Hospitalists Schedule: Create schedule, keep up with all changes, inform Answering Service of all changes in schedule.
- Provide back-up Daytime Shift coverage as needed.
- Quality Assurance Reviews.
- Arranging Chart Audits for education and training.
- Research and find all missing charges. This information is given back to the physician to complete the charge process.
- Ensure that all re-credentialing paperwork is completed and returned in a timely manner to Hattiesburg Clinic and Forrest General Hospital.
- Ensure the Licensure Renewals are completed and that the Physicians are maintaining logs of all required CME credits.
- Maintaining and tracking HealthStream training for providers.
- Patient calls and messages.
- Perform employee evaluations in a timely manner consistent with the employee’s anniversary evaluation date.
- Review and approve hours worked in Dayforce Timekeeper for biweekly pay.
- Maintain Physician/Provider calendar sheets following guidelines for vacation, continuing education leave, emergency leave, etc.
- In partnership with Medical Director, assist in coordinating agenda for provider meeting and capturing minutes of discussion.
- Perform other designated tasks requested by the Medical Director.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM
