Senior Analyst - Health Information Management and Clinical Documentation Integrity

POSITION SUMMARY:   The Senior Analyst for Health Information Management (HIM) and Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) provides analytical, technical, and implementation support of our world class Epic EHR with a primary focus on our Ambulatory applications. The Senior Analyst is responsible for implementing system upgrades, building requested enhancements to the system and any related third-party applications, testing, maintenance, as well as having a working knowledge of Cogito’s reporting capabilities, plus assisting with resolution of end-user issues. The Senior Analyst will be involved in training and coordinating HIM roll outs or deployments of modules or software as well as implementing new policy guidelines and creating application workflows. The Senior Analyst is responsible for creating training materials for E/M, procedures, ICD-10 codes to ensure they are maintaining healthcare policy standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in health information, computer science, mathematics, health informatics, public health, any natural science or related discipline -or- relevant healthcare experience, required

• Working knowledge of an EHR and clinical workflows in an ambulatory and HIM setting/workflows, preferred
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification, preferred

• Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations/timelines; timely and dependable
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team, and be very detail oriented
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have solid computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Individual hired must obtain an Epic certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Some travel required

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
