Chart Auditor - Chart Audit

POSITION SUMMARY: The Chart Auditor will be responsible for reviewing medical records for accuracy, quality assurance, and billing purposes. The Chart Auditor will be responsible for assessing medical records to determine if the E/M, procedures, HCC/ICD-10 codes are within the health care policies and standards. The Chart Auditor will perform internal audits and remain up-to-date on current policy and procedural guidelines to ensure the proper coding and policy guidelines are followed. The Chart Auditor will be responsible for promoting and encouraging compliance through the appropriate education and training parameters.

QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse with clinical experience in both hospital and office nursing or Certified Professional Coder with prior coding experience. If candidate is a graduate from a school of nursing without certification, then AAPC (CPC and CRC) certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, as communication with providers and managerial staff is required. Knowledge and experience in Medicare rules and regulations, coding and billing principles. Must be motivated and possess strong communication, problem solving, and capable of working effectively with physicians and non-physicians. Must have strong oral presentation skills as group presentations may be required. Must possess strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to complete multiple tasks within a designated timeframe.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00A.M. - 5:00 P.M. or 7:30A.M. - 4:30P.M.
