Medical Lab Technician - Orleans Park Family Medicine

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) works under general supervision to perform moderate and high complexity laboratory procedures involving a high degree of independent judgment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

• Associate’s degree from an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program, including training in an approved hospital MLT program
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory, preferred
• No bench experience required.  This level includes all Technicians with less than three years of generalist experience; and all part time technologists

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs

WORK SCHEDULE:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
