3rd Shift Mixer

Job Title:  Mixer

Department:  Production

Reports to:  Shift Manager

Job Summary:  This position will place raw materials into the mixer in accordance with product recipe specifications as required by Oak State and the daily production schedule.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Verify weights of ingredients being used
• Stage ingredients in the mixing area for future batches to ensure timely production of dough
• Remove raw dough from mixer and place it in the dough trough
• Scrape mixer bowl and paddles to an appropriate cleanliness dependant upon the next variety of dough being processed
• Visually inspect dough for proper color and texture before transporting to the oven are
• Transport dough trough to the over area
• Presoak ingredients for upcoming batches of dough
• Operate mixer an all other equipment in a safe manner
• Complete and assemble all documentation required for quality assurance and production records
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
• Must follow all “Lock out/Tag out” procedures when working on equipment
• All other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in English in order to understand equipment instruction manuals, select the proper ingredient, follow formulas, and specifications, read instruments, and record all required data
• Must be knowledgeable in GMPs and HACCP program
• Must display great attention to detail
• Must have sufficient math skills to calculate inputs, accurately weigh ingredients, and accurately measure samples by weight or dimensions
• Must be able to lift 55.5 lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to lift 55.5 lbs. to 75 lbs. with assistance
• Ability stand and walk up to 90% of the time scheduled
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities while paying close attention to detail
• Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
