Reporting to the Credit Operations Manager, this position is responsible for utilizing internal and external resources to minimize charge-offs and to maximize recoveries. Provide collection services for troubled loans, recover charged-off portfolio balances; prepare related documentation for assignment to attorneys, collection agencies and Bankruptcy Court.  Process payments, expense invoices and general ledger entries related to troubled loans and Other Real Estate Owned (OREO) properties.

 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business preferred or equivalent work experience. Three years of lending or collection experience with supervisory, workout, and litigation experience. Must be able to operate effectively with troubled borrowers who are under highly stressful situations.  Must have strong oral and written communication skills, strong PC skills; working knowledge of all common Office applications (i.e. Word & Excel) and internet application, strong team player, strong organizational skills and detail oriented with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
