Job Overview
 
This is a union position.

Prototypes in Pomona provides mental health services to clients ranging from children to adults. Programs consist of Prevention and Early Intervention, Outpatient Clinical Services, Full Service Partnership and AB109. Services are provided in the office, via telehealth and/or in the community. These services include individual/group therapy, case management, rehab services as well as medication support services.

Childcare Specialist is responsible for providing care and observation in an age appropriate, culturally  enriching  manner to assigned children and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide culturally enriching and age appropriate developmental activities to assigned children, role models appropriate care while maintaining a calm and encouraging presence.
  
• Direct appropriate interactions/conversations between assigned clients.
  
• Ensure clients are following proper safety precautions with children.
  
• Document observations and concerns. Communicate  observations and concerns  to the team with feedback on goals and objectives for parenting portion of the treatment plan.
• Educate and support mothers in providing structure and safety for children.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Experience working with children and families.
  
• First AId and CPR certified within 30 days of employment.
  
• CA Drivers License and insurance.
  
• Dependable automobile.
