The Withdrawal Management Unit (Detox) at HealthRIGHT 360's Dual Diagnosis treatment facility at 815 Buena Vista (815) is a co-ed unit with 45 beds that provides clients with social model detoxification support for co-occurring behavioral health and Substance Use Disorders (SUD). Clients are supported by a team of licensed nurses, SUD counselors, and behavioral health professionals who provide medication management support, counseling, and education. The Overnight LVN act as the shift lead in supporting our clients with Medication Assisted Therapies (MAT) and routine nursing care as part of their evidence-based treatment plans. Our goal is that our clients transition into their recovery journey with stable physical health to build upon.

The LVN works with the larger nursing and medical team on-site in the provision of MAT therapies and monitors client status on the overnight shift. Coordinates care for the client with the residential behavioral health team, primary care, and other internal and external healthcare resources for the client. Utilizes the Nursing Process, Harm Reduction, and Trauma Informed Care modalities in all actions taken to advocate for and support the client in their planning and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Nursing Responsibilities: Monitors patient medication use, vital, and other physical signs and symptoms to support client through withdrawal phase of treatment. Liaises with on-call provider, nurse manager, nurse director, and/or medical director as necessary. Triages and provides complex care coordination for all clients accessing healthcare services internal and external to HealthRIGHT.
 

Leadership Responsibilities: Works collaboratively with the residential and Health and Wellness staff. Provides clinical leadership for client health education, client medication support, and within the quality improvement infrastructure of the healthcare and residential program.
 

Organizational Responsibilities: Properly and consistently documents required information accurately on records and reports. Keeps up to date with operational and procedural requirements.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience Required:

  • Nurse currently licensed in the State of California with a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to skilled nursing care.
  • Personal philosophies congruent with Trauma Informed Care & Harm Reduction modalities.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR).

Desired:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Tagalog, and/or Mandarin & Cantonese.
  • Experience working with LGBTQIA+, unhoused, criminal justice, and/or marginalized populations.
  • Experience with management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Peers with lived experience and those bilingual in Spanish, Tagalog, and/or Mandarin & Cantonese encouraged to apply.
