Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP), a program of HealthRIGHT 360, is a 200-bed residential facility for adult men who are in custody and on parole. We provide comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services. Treatment episode ranges in time from 6 months to 12 months. This program is a fast-paced environment where communication is paramount to provide cutting edge services to men in a residential treatment setting as well as their families.

 

We are looking for:

A Clinical Manager who has the passion to reintegrate people back into the community with the necessary skills to remain substance and crime free by providing administrative and clinical oversight to a team of therapists, mental health trainees, and wellness center staff. This Clinical Manager must have two years of post-licensure social work experience or marriage and family therapy experience in a recognized social services or mental health care setting providing services to the criminal justice population.

 

This position reports to the Program Director and oversees 5 union staff.

 

How to make a difference:

  • Provide direct, individual clinical supervision for clinical staff.
  • Monitor caseloads and ensure that staff are providing quality, research-based, cutting edge, ethical services, are credentialed, and within scope of practice.
  • Ensure that clinical staff complies with all legal and ethical practices.
  • Provide ongoing, regular feedback to clinical staff on the quality and timeliness of their work.
  • Provide performance evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Provide support, training, and remediation where needed to assist clinical staff in meeting program’s billing expectations, caseload requirements, record keeping, documentation standards, and all other quality assurance standards.
  • Support the Program Director with interviewing, selecting, and hiring of candidates and terminating employees.
  • Schedule and approve timecards and time offs in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures in collaboration with the Compliance department to meet contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate meetings, training, and development opportunities, and respond to emails in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate client case management with behavioral health reintegration.
  • Manage wellness staff in monitoring, storing, tracking, and disposing of medications.
  • Coordinate medication delivery and provide a liaison with pharmacy, physician, and CDCR regarding medication and medical needs of residents.
  • Assume ownership for any crisis as it relates to service delivery and see it through to completion. This may include consultation, direct service, crisis intervention, ensuring proper documentation, on-call duties, and LPS responsibilities as applicable.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other supervisors and managers as needed and as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What the position requires:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Master’s in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy with current California BBS licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, LCP).
  • Clinical supervision certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing trauma-informed services and treating clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, preferably with criminal justice populations.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably supervising a clinical team in a community behavioral health setting.
  • First aid and CPR certified within 30 days of employment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet applications.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to proactively collaborate with other supervisors to ensure the best possible training for staff and service delivery for clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Understanding of harm reduction principles and trauma-informed treatment.
  • Bilingual preferred.

 

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to move about as needed throughout the day.
  • Requires ability to sit up to 6 hours per day with intermittent moving around the workplace.
  • Ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time.
  • Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity.
  • Ability to move throughout buildings and between buildings, including stairs or elevator. Areas are wheelchair accessible.

 

Background clearance and pre-hire requirements:

  • Must not be on active parole or probation for a minimum of two years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain satisfactory background check and CDCR live scan clearance.
  • Must be able to meet health screening and TB test requirements.
  • Credentialing must be completed in a timely manner.
