Job Overview
 
This is a union position.

The Clinical Therapist will provide co-occurring treatment to youth in an outpatient setting as well as provide community based services. The Clinical Therapist provides mental health individual and group therapy based on individualized assessments. Intensity of services is based on the client's stage of change and response to treatment. The Clinical Therapist provides after-hours crisis line support on a rotating basis. 

Clinical Therapist will be responsible for maintaining a caseload, timely documentation, conduct intakes/assessments, collaborate with clients on the development of their treatment plan, provide individual and group therapy, and conduct collateral sessions to support clients in their co-occurring treatment. Clinical Therapist will also work closely with Case Manager to ensure clients are linked to resources needed in the community.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 
Required:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field with current registration with the Board of Behavioral Services.
  • Pending BBS registration will be considered.
  • First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • CPR Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Ideal candidate will also have extensive experience with substance abuse treatment.
  • Certification/registration with a Drug and Alcohol Certification program recognized by DHCS a plus.
  • Knowledge of /Experience with MediCAL documentation standards
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
