This is a union position.

 

The Re-entry and Recovery Housing program operated by North County Serenity House, a Program of HealthRIGHT360 is a STOP (Specialized Treatment for Optimized Programming) funded program that serves men who have recently been released from incarceration or have recently completed drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Our facility can house up to 26 individuals. While living at RRH, our participants are given the opportunity to have a safe place to live and do the vital work that is needed of them to get their lives back on track, and to hit the ground running when it is time for them to function on their own in society.  

Client Safety Navigator are responsible for maintaining and assessing the safety and security of the houses and its residents throughout the night. Through effective communication and follow through, Monitors ensure that the living environment is safe and welcoming, relay relevant information to other members of the RRH team and performs crisis intervention as needed. Hours are 2pm to 6:30PM, Saturday and Saturday and some on-call.

 

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Security Responsibilities: Remains alert and awake during the entire overnight shift. Performs room checks to ensure and maintain accountability of all residents and the safety and security of the facility. Performs crisis intervention and communicates with RRH team as unforeseen situations arise. Assists the Housing Coordinator with the compliance of Site Specific Emergency Response Plans. Conducts and documents emergency evacuation drills as requested.  Completes STOP and agency incident reports in a timely manner.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 
Required:

  • First Aid Certified.
  • CPR Certified.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

 

In compliance with the California Department of Public Health's mandate, all employees must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Medical and religious exemptions are available.
