Job Overview
 
The Grants & Contracts Department at HealthRIGHT 360 is looking for a self-motivated individual with masterful fiscal skills, who is eager to make an impact in our healthcare nonprofit. The wealth of services that HR360 provides are typically awarded through successful proposal submissions generated by our Grants Team. You will play a key role in this crucial step, by working with our team, and program leaders, to develop competitive budgets for our grants submissions. Key Responsibilities

The Grants Budget Manager is responsible for the preparation of budget forms and fiscal documentation for select contracts, and all grant proposal budgets. The position assists the Director of Government Funding, Foundations Grants, and the Fiscal Team with all grant proposal budgets and select contract budgets. Supports in developing and updating cost allocation plans. Position does have the option to work remotely!

Budget, Contract and Fiscal Compliance Responsibilities: formulation, monitoring, and presentation of proposal and contract budgets. Compilation of data to prepare budgets and budget narratives for proposals to ensure that spending stays within budget. Prepares contract budget amendments (rebudgeting) and budgets for no-cost extensions. Prepares comparative analysis of contracts by analyzing cost in relation to budgetary goals. Manages the upkeep of HR360’s organization-wide list of Roster IDs, communicating closely with Fiscal and HR leadership to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all employee allocations. Maintain awareness of legislative changes that affect county finances, budgeting activities and grant management/reporting. Respond to ad hoc reporting for informational requests from the Director of Accounts Receivable, CFO, funding entities, and constituents. Will need to understand and anticipate the resource needs of program activities, staffing, etc., by collaborating with staff who will oversee the program.

  • Develop grant submission budgets in collaboration with the Grants Team and Program Leadership
  • Assist, as needed, in creating any reporting documents that are utilized and distributed by the Finance Department 
  • Manages the upkeep of HR360’s organization-wide list of Roster IDs, communicating closely with Fiscal and HR leadership to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all employee allocations. 
  • Work with funders and the fiscal team to prepares contract budget amendments (re-budgeting) and budgets for no-cost extensions. 
  • Prepare comparative analyses of contracts by analyzing cost in relation to budgetary goals.

And, other duties as assigned.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting.
  • A good understanding of GAAP.
  • Strong verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ten key experience.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Will need to understand and anticipate the resource needs of program activities, staffing, etc., by collaborating with staff who will oversee the program.
  • Excellent command of spreadsheet applications including V-lookup, Pivot table.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and internet applications.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of interdisciplinary team and independently assume responsibility.
  • Strong initiative and enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in whenever needed.
  • Able to work within a frequently changing project scope while maintaining overall direction and structured priorities.

Preferred:

  • Nonprofit experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Power Query.
