Assistant Manufacturing Supervisor (2nd Shift)

We are hiring an Assistant Manufacturing Supervisor to onboard new employees, complete necessary audits, and perform non-conforming product support.  

What You Will Do:

  • Onboarding of new Pack Op employees (temp & permanent hire)
  • Actively engage and support manufacturing employees
  • Support and promote continuous improvement, engagement and other company initiatives
  • Conduct manufacturing process compliance audits. Engage employees in non-conformance findings. Re-instruct, retrain, and document the findings.
  • Support QA with non-conforming product (hold tickets, backtracking, sorting, etc.).
  • Advise Mfg Team Supervisor of any concerns as they relate to production.  
  • Ensure that employees comply with all Health, Safety and Regulatory programs.
  • Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's certification by supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
  • Assist in other areas of production as needed.
  • Ensure machines and equipment are kept clean.
  • Oversee the general housekeeping of the production areas and ensure that supplies are in the appropriate places.

  • Ability to accurately read work orders and identify proper packaging supplies listed.
  • Must be a quality-conscious, detail-orientated individual.
  • Good problem-solving skills.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • 1+ year supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Six months of prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 
  • Basic computer/data entry skills using a mouse and/or keyboard are required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, write, and accurately perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Good communication skills: oral and written.
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions accurately.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime / weekends as needed is a job requirement.
  • Ability to inspect production for quality defects.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work up to 12-hour shifts.
