We are hiring a Tooling Specialist to be responsible for Toolroom repair projects, mold evaluations, assist with the coordination of outsourced mold repairs and continuous improvement of tooling.

What You Will Do:

  • Ability to do Mold Evaluations and be able to recommend mold rebuilds (done at mold cycle schedule)
  • Ability to accurately evaluate and execute mold repairs or changes.
  • Ability to evaluate and check in new molds from outside vendors.
  • Identify and communicate any possible tooling improvements.
  • Ability to delegate work as well as train Tool Room Lead and Mold Maintenance Technicians.
  • Ability to work overtime based on production needs. 
  • Adhere to production and quality standards.
Success in this role will require:
  • Ability to troubleshoot molds (in and outside of the press)
  • Ability to accurately evaluate mold repairs or changes.
  • Ability to delegate work as well as train Tool Room Lead and Mold Maintenance Technicians.
  • Successful completion of forklift training.

What You Bring: 

  • Mold building experience is preferred or 8+ years of mold maintenance/repairs
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have own precision tools.
  • Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Prior forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours including weekend shifts.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance.
