The general hourly range for this position is $25.50 – 30.00. Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.

 

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s most effective animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Coordinator, Database for the Philanthropy department. In this position you will maintain accurate donor records for the Philanthropy department, including major gift donor and prospect records and move management data in the online CRM. You will assist the Senior Specialist, Database with regular data maintenance projects, audits, and reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains data integrity for major gifts in the online CRM in service to Philanthropy and other departments who interact with major donors. Processes requests to update data, merges records, and monitors gift transmittals;
  • Manages data input for moves management including portfolio assignments, cultivation plans, and donor flags;
  • Executes data processes for regular prospect assignment meetings, including conducting data pulls, troubleshooting, presenting at the meetings, executing outcomes, and communicating with the Major Gifts team;
  • Collaborates with the Prospect Development team and other staff in developing policies and procedures for data entry and major donor records;
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • One (1) year of experience in database management, data integrity, or another related field preferred;
  • Proficiency in data mining and data integrity standards;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Excel in particular;
  • Proficiency with CRMs required, prior experience with ROI Solutions preferred;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary;
  • Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.
