Blood Component Manufacturing Technician - Mon-Fri, e/o Sat 11a-7:30p plus on-call rotation

The blood center is based in Davenport, Iowa, where ImpactLife's testing, processing, and primary distribution center of blood components is located.  ImpactLife is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Impact Life has an excellent opportunity to join our team as a blood Component Manufacturing Technician. No experience?  No problem! We provide an extensive on-the-job paid-training program.

Component Technicians are responsible for blood product manufacturing to include handling of blood products, quarantine and/or discarding products, working with biohazardous/chemical waste. This position will also prepare and label components and assist with count/maintenance of inventories.

This is a First Shift position working 11:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Monday-Friday and every other Saturday with rotating weekend on-call.

What you need to bring to the table:

• High School Diploma or equivalencies

• Previous experience in a medical laboratory or production setting

• Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures
