General Summary:  Responsible for providing administrative assistance and support to the Children’s Foster Care Program Director, staff and providers in all issues related to licensing compliance of foster care providers and homes. Conducts home studies as needed and provides training and technical assistance to providers.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide weekly visits for the first 4 weeks, monthly for the next 5 months and then quarterly or as frequent as clinically necessary.
  • Conducts initial inspections of potential foster care providers’ homes as needed.
  • Conducts initial or renewal home studies as needed.
  • Responsible for oversight of all foster care provider licensure processes.
  • Screens and ensures completeness, and consistency of information, throughout foster parent licensing application packets.
  • Ensures renewal application packets are sent to providers, with written verification of receipt, at least two (2) months prior to the current license’s expiration date.
  • Ensures that providers’ renewal packets are completed at least 30 days prior to expiration date of the current license.
  • Ensures providers’ renewal application packets are sent to DCS-OLR at least 30 days prior to expiration of the current license.
  • Ensures that all timelines are met for Licensing standards and/or requests.
  • Assist with and/or conducts reviews of concerns related to compliance with licensing and Intermountain standards for foster care providers.
  • Assists in the development of corrective action plans to address any identified deficiencies related to foster care provider records and/or the physical state of the foster home.
  • Supports activities of the Program Director through distribution of information, verbally; in writing; or by mail, fax or email, as directed.
  • Assists Program Director and other administrators by tracking documentation in accordance with licensing Plans of Correction (POC).
  • Works in collaboration with Human Resources, Training and Quality Management (QM) staff to track licensing requirements of foster care homes.
  • Attends specified meetings at the direction of Foster Care Director, as a representative of Intermountain Centers.
  • Assists in maintaining Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for monthly billing for HRSS and HCTC providers.
  • Participates in QM meetings and reports back to Director.
  • Provides training on how to complete initial and renewal foster parent licensing application packets.
  • Provides pre-service and in-service training for foster care program staff, to ensure compliance with foster home licensing standards.
  • Provides technical assistance to foster care providers on compliance with licensing and Intermountain standards.
  • Maintains an approved schedule, and acceptable level of attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health field preferred.
  • Experience – Two years’ full-time experience in a human services environment preferred. Experience with confidential records and statistical analysis desirable.

REGULATORY:
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment). 
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must posses upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • Current, valid Arizona Driver's License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of registration liability insurance to meet insure requirements, if required.
  • Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
