Lab Engineer I
Reports To: PCS Manager l

Position Summary
As part of ISEC's Science and Technology organization, the Lab Engineer is a hands-on, self-directed corporate role that has responsibility for delivering lab shop drawings that meet quality requirements as established by ISEC and required by its customers and lab manufacturing partners as part of the product order process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Place initial capacity reservation requests with ISEC’s lab casework manufacturing partner in response to requests from internal project teams.
- Place product orders with ISEC’s lab casework manufacturing partner using final approved shop drawings as created by Outsource Engineering partners.
- Kickoff new estimating requests to ISEC’s Outsource Engineering partners by working with internal project teams to gather required documentation, due dates and phasing requirements.
- Aid ISEC’s internal project teams with addressing questions from Outsource Engineering Partners.
- Attend sales debriefing meetings on larger lab casework jobs to understand project requirements and provide input to help with phasing and scheduling decisions.
- Assist with QC of incoming lab shop drawings during overflow work periods.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Minimum Qualifications)
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, Architecture, or Management related field.
- 3-5 years in construction and/or engineering experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-4 years of construction and/or engineering experience.
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to clearly communicate discrepancies and present solutions
- Able to read and understand contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of ISEC products, services, processes and projects.
- Ensures orders for Kewaunee are timely and accurate
- Independently performs most assignments with instruction
- Works autonomously at times
- Seeks guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards

- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other software applications as needed
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
