IES is currently seeking a Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator to join our team.  Under the general supervision of the VP Human Resources or his\her designee, the Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator (ROC) primarily assists with recruitment and onboarding of IES Retail employees.  Desired competencies include: excellent communication skills, critical thinking and solution focused mindset  with a sense of urgency in responding to internal/external requests.  Ideal candidate must be trustworthy in maintaining company and client confidentiality, have a proven track record of setting priorities under tight deadlines, is a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has general knowledge of HR best practices and familiarity with recruitment and onboarding.  Must have proficient Excel and Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with social media recruitment.  Prior relevant experience in the retail/hospitality/light industrial environments are desirable.  This position will eventually be located at our Honolulu Terminal and may occasionally work at our Kapolei Terminal.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. As directed, posts and refreshes Retail job vacancies via HRIS System (Ceridian), LinkedIn, Facebook and other job websites.
  2. In coordination with Retail Operations, updates job posting information.
  3. Maintain vacancy tracking list by Retail Station. 
  4. Coordinate Ceridian access for Hiring Managers (view candidate applications).  
  5. Process initial candidate phone screens and coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers.
  6. Assists with new hire offer and pre-employment required documentation.
  7. Schedule and coordinate day one – new hire orientations (at our Honolulu  and Kapolei Terminal Facilities).
  8. Assists with career fairs and pre/post planning.
  9. Teamwork – Works effectively with coworkers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive, positive manner, listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical solutions; and respecting the diversity of the IES workforce in actions, words and deeds.
  10. Safety – Maintains commitment to a high standard of safety, comply with all safety laws and IES safety policies/rules, and reports actual and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel. 

OTHER DUTIES:

Minimum Qualifications:

   Education and Experience

  1. Minimum of one to three years of progressive experience at an Administrative Assistant or HR                     Assistant.
  2. Associate degree in related field or three years of progressive experience in Human Resources or                 related field.
  3. Desire to grow professionally and proven ability to work in a very fast paced environment.

  2. Ceridian Dayforce HRIS software.

  1. Willingness to commit to The Island Way (IES core values of): Kina’ole, Aloha, Lokahi and Ho’ohana.
  2. Pass background check including periodic job-related physical abilities testing as required.
  3. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) within sixty days of hire.
  4. This is a safety sensitive position and random drug testing is required.
  5. Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
  6. Willingness to devote the time as needed to meet project and task deadlines.  Willingness to maintain or increase skills.

 

PAY AND BENEFITS:

Island Energy Services offers a competitive salary that commensurate with qualifications and experience.   The hiring annualized salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $65,000.00.  IES offers a comprehensive health and welfare package to include up to full family medical, dental and vision from day one of employment, paid vacation, paid sick leave, holidays, 401k plus generous employer matching, group life and AD&D, supplemental voluntary insurance options, flexible spending, and much more!

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee reference check, drug test, criminal background check and a five-year motor vehicle history check.  This is a salaried non-exempt position under FLSA regulations.
