Youth Crisis Medical Technician - Full Time - Residential Center for Healing & Resilience

Successful candidates will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be a part of the opening of our new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for youth, at our beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.
The Medical Technician is responsible for direct oversight of storage and distribution of medications to clients, and serves as the primary liaison between clients, youth care providers, clinicians, Director of Nursing and the Medical Director
Our Medical Technicians:
- Administer medication as ordered by a physician
- Take and record vital signs of youth
- Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately
- Reports and records any changes in condition
Must Haves:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must possess High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
- Must hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification, complete state required delegation and/or training requirements, and successfully complete the medication pass competency
- Obtain when offered specialized training related to position, such as: CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Individualized Behavioral Contingencies, Crisis & Suicide Management and Med Management
- Knowledge of computer and EHR systems
Preferred:
- Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting
